The centre cares for children 6 weeks to 5 years and operates a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten programme as well as suppling all meals and nappies.

At Yeronga Child Development Centre our children and families always come first and our program is based on “Belonging, Being and Becoming” which are the core element of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and a key component of the National Quality Framework. EYLF defines the principle practices and outcomes essential to every early learning program and is designed to ensure all children from birth to five years of age, receive high quality learning experiences.

EYLF has a strong emphasis on play-based learning and aims to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Children have a strong sense of Identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their learning
  • Children have a strong sense of Wellbeing
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators

Our curriculum is also committed to multicultural education and care. We strive to create a curriculum that reflects the lives of our children, families, Educators and the community. We will make every effort to provide culturally responsive child development by affirming human differences and peoples rights to make choices about their own lifestyles. We seek to recognise, appreciate and respect the uniqueness of each child and their cultural background.
